Q: What happens if a match has incomplete stats from the data provider?
A: Occasionally, we may receive incomplete data from our data provider, which can impact the calculation of overall scores and the closing of daily or weekend competitions. To manage these situations, we have established the following rules:
1. Retrieving Complete Stats:
• For each match, we will make every effort to retrieve complete statistics.
2. Using Lineups When Stats Are Incomplete:
• If complete statistics are not available, we will use the lineups to assign scores as follows:
• Starters: Awarded 90 minutes of play (even if they were substituted) plus the starter bonus.
• Substitutes: Awarded 45 minutes of play (even if they played less or not at all).
3. Continued Efforts to Obtain Correct Stats:
• As long as the competition has not been rewarded, we will continue to try to obtain the correct statistics.
As per current Scoring Matrix V1:
• Starter obtain : 100 points (90 minutes + 10 bonus points)
• Substitute obtain : 45 points
This approach ensures that we can provide timely and fair scoring, even when facing data issues from our provider.
